Anyone else really into this green apple color that is everywhere right now? Last summer felt like a winter-y lime was everywhere, but this apple green is more to my liking and while it is mostly in spring versions, I’ve seen winter and autumn too. It’s not just clothes- finding matching shoes would be a breeze right now and there are so many pretty summer sandals to choose from.
The type notes below are loose- it’s the details and accessories that would push clearer types. Figuring out how to make something work for your type or your style opens up the options and is often where the fun is.
The Outfits:
The Reformation Paolo top and Mason pants. (Sizes 0-12 with a petite version available for the pants UPDATE they added sizes 14 to 24). I own this, so that’s a go for spring hawk and nymph types, but also for most other line influenced AFs. Other fantasy types that come to mind might include some Gorgons and some Magic Queens. 90s minimalism as an experimental color.
Massimo Dutti knit linen drop shoulder polo top (sizes 2-14) and Mango cotton/poly culottes (sizes 1-22). This has that fabulously relaxed but put together feeling that I often like for Wolf. The culottes but with the Paolo top would be great on Ocelot with some accessories. It feels like a mix of classic, modern, and relaxed, which I’m not sure has a best fantasy type. Some Valkyrie, some MQ, maybe Fae, maybe Nymph. What do you think?
The Reformation Jayden dress in organic cotton (sizes 0-12). Oh how I wanted to keep this dress, but it didn’t work for my measurements. If yours are close to one column on the size chart, it’s a great dress with slim, minimal style. It could work for many AFs and fantasy types as it’s simple and fitted without being clingy.
Mango linen/viscose dress (sizes 0-20). It looks wrong on the smaller size model, but would be great for some of the shorter AF types. Want to guess which? My first thought for fantasy base is somewhere between Valkyrie and Maenad.
Universal Standard stretch poplin shirt (sizes 00-40) and Eloquii viscose/linen shorts (sizes 14-28). This is a clean look, again fairly classic except for the color. It could work for many types. Tell me how you would make it work for yours?
Universal Standard cotton/rayon shirt dress (sizes 00-40). It has pockets. I am so tempted by this, but want a self belt included and the curved hemline isn’t great for me. I think there is a shirt dress for everyone. This one is an interesting cut. I’d like to see it on a range of AFs. I can picture it on specific Peacocks and Gazelles that I know, though worn with different shoes/mood. Maenad, DP, and MQ come to mind first for fantasy.
Mango short sleeve linen shirt (sizes 0-12) and Mango linen shorts (“Xxs-xxl” hip measurements 33-46”). While still fairly classic this shorts set is not minimal like #5. I’d like to see it on Cat first. Angel and some Nymphs come to mind first for fantasy.
Massimo Dutti viscose skirt and shirt (sizes 2-10). I think this silky set could work for many types too, though the Nymph/Mermaid/Seer range comes to mind first. It would fall very differently on the AFs but I can imagine at least one of the pieces working for any of them.
I found many more items in this apple green shade and it was difficult to choose. If this shade isn’t for you, is there a different color you are after going into summer?
